Just a 10 minutes walk from Cassandra there is a beautiful lake where you can see and listen closely to birds, insects and other wildlife. Enjoying wilderness in silence provides a host of benefits to you and to the wilderness it self.
On your way to the lake you will pass a Buddhist temple which is in full operation. Its the place of worship for Buddhists. It includes the structure called Stupa. The structure and architecture varies from region to region.
During your walk in the direct area of Cassandra you can see many Elephant watchtowers. The watchtowers are used by the local farmers to keep an eye on the elephants, so that timely remedial measures are taken in case elephants move towards the area.
